12:52 am: I'm back. Sort of.
I am just back from rehearsal. I have had my birthday. My Mom sent me books like usual, a box of colours, and a poster of Gary Oldman being Sirius Black. Snuffles and I went walking early and for pudding there was a cake. Chocolate with chocolate and sugar bits in the icing.

Rehearsal makes me want to beat on something. Other things do, too. My Mom has a new girlfriend Nicole. I expect she is fake super nice and I do not care. This person is not going to be my new mother. I have been thinking about it alot. I do not care if two girls are going out, or two boys, like Sirius and Remus. If she hurts my Mom though I will think of something rotten and get Sam to help me, there will be sheep poo and worse.

Good night! My cousin's marks are so bad this term, his BMX bike got locked in the shed, so I use it. Great fun!

11:49 pm: It is nearly midnight. I am awake waiting for it to be 12 September.

When I was seven years old some men who did not understand how to be good men in this world stole some airplanes with the people on them still. We did not get much of the story here where I am, but Twin Towers fell, and many people from all over the world died. They were just going to work and being on their computers and making calls, so it is hard for me to understand. Police and fire fighters died doing their jobs. My Mom and my Auntie were upset with that. I remember because it is the only time they have ever agreed on a thing.

The pictures came on the television news here and they kept saying Boston a lot, and Boston is where we are from, so I was worried all the time about my Mom. But New York is where it happened. New York is like a symbol for America.

I am sorry about the symbol, and Twin Towers, which were like part of the sky in New York. But I have been awake mostly thinking that a lot of people who worked in the towers, went on the airplanes and were fire fighters or policemen must have been Mothers and Dads.

And now it is 12 September.

08:10 pm:

So I've spent a lot of time clearing out my cousin's room. So I've learnt a lot about my cousin, like he likes dead bird's bones out of the bogs. His bedroom carpet is red but you cannot see it most places because of all the Tayto packets. He has a computer for his own. In fact, I am using it. If he does not pass-word-protect his Desktop, that is his own fault.

His big, ugly clothes are all over. They are under my feet and under Snuffles's feet. They are on the bed-posts and the lights. My Mom says we should not make fun of fat people because they cannot help being fat, but my cousin could if he wished, and if he ever did sport or something. During his sport period at his Comprehensive he goes and he thrashes people for saying he reaks of the sheep. Plus he eats like three times what my Mom eats, and she looks like Flaming June.  When she comes she makes me all manner of nice things for pudding because she has had the Patissier class at Jonson And Wales, but my cousin gets to sit down with us and eat them (of course) and by the time he has got up from the table, it is all gone, every single bite. If it is cakes, forget it. I think he has a secret compartment at the back of his head for cakes. Maybe it is where the brain goes in.

I try not to be very irritated with him, because he cannot help being a total pig. He hurt my dog though, and my dog is from my Mother and he is kind of an older dog,  and he does not bite people even when you hurt him. So my cousin got away without being bit. I read out of a book that people who hurt animals are going to be nutters and kill people. So I think the Gardai should come and lock him up right now. It would be much nicer here and Snuffles would not hide upstairs.

Everyone made very nice comments. Thank you. Mme Rainette, quand j'ai une heure tranquille, je vous reponderai. Maintenant il faut que je nettoie!

Dear Tai, Snuffles is a Black Labrador. He can go in the bogs and get things, even if it is a book and flat. I have had him from a puppy eight weeks old and he was my birthday cadeau when I was four.

11:29 pm: I did not mean my first journal entry to be such a thinking one, but I am awake thinking.

Today I came down from the bus shelter and a man said my Mother would be proud. I thought how would he know? Then I thought how would SHE know? It has been half my whole life since my Mother. I do not think she would know me to be proud of me.

Snuffles my dog is sleeping on my feet. This is very nice of him, as we have wooden floors.
